User Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: May 14, 2026
You have the right to request deletion of personal data that the Realtor AI Platform holds about you. This page explains what we hold, how to request deletion, and what to expect when you do.
1. Data we may hold about you
Depending on how you interacted with a real estate agency using this platform, we may hold:
- Contact information: name, email address, phone number, language preference
- Property inquiry context: timeline, budget, neighbourhood preferences, and notes you shared with the agency
- Conversation history: emails and SMS messages exchanged with the agency or its AI assistant
- Consent records: when, how, and through what channel you consented to be contacted (or unsubscribed)
- Connected social account metadata: if a real estate agent connected their Facebook Page, Instagram Business account, or LinkedIn profile to the platform, we hold the OAuth credentials and public post-engagement metrics for that account. We do not hold the agent’s private inbox contents or their personal friends/followers lists.
2. Data we receive from Meta (Facebook + Instagram)
If you are a real estate professional who connected a Facebook Page or an Instagram Business account through our app, we receive and store the following from Meta’s Graph API:
- Your Facebook user ID and email address (for connection identity)
- The list of Facebook Pages you manage, including each Page’s access token and (when linked) its connected Instagram Business account ID
- Public post engagement metrics (likes, comments, reach, impressions) for the Pages and IG Business accounts you authorized
We do not store: your friends list, your private messages, photos you have not posted publicly, or any data the Meta consent screen did not explicitly request.
3. How to request deletion
Option A — Email request (any user, any time)
Send an email to privacy@krogelindustries.com from the email address you want deleted (or include enough information to identify yourself). Include in the subject line: “Data deletion request”.
We will:
- Acknowledge your request within 5 business days
- Delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain specific records (see Section 5)
- Confirm completion by email, and notify the real estate agency you were a contact of
Option B — Remove the app from Facebook
If you connected your Facebook or Instagram Business account through our app and want to revoke access:
- Go to Facebook Settings → Business Integrations
- Find “Realtor AI Platform” in the list
- Click Remove
Facebook will notify our platform automatically. When it does, we delete the OAuth credentials and Meta-derived data within 24 hours. Your past social-post engagement metrics, once de-identified, may remain in aggregate analytics reports.
Option C — Contact the agency directly
If you are a contact of a specific real estate agency, you can request deletion directly from the agency using the contact information in their email signature. The agency will pass the request through to us and we will fulfill it on their behalf.
4. Tracking your request
When we receive a deletion request, we generate a tracking confirmation code. You can quote this code in any follow-up email and we will tell you the current status of the request. If you have not received confirmation within 30 days, please contact us again so we can locate the request.
5. Data we may be required to retain
Even after a deletion request, certain records must be retained to comply with Canadian law:
- CASL consent + unsubscribe records: retained indefinitely so we honour your unsubscribe and so the agency can demonstrate compliance if challenged
- FINTRAC records: if you transacted with the agency, identity verification and transaction records must be retained for 5 years from the transaction date (this data lives in our partner ReallyTrusted, not directly in our platform)
- Financial / billing records: retained as required by the Canadian Income Tax Act
These records are anonymized or minimized where possible. We will explain in our confirmation email exactly what was retained and why.
6. Your rights under Canadian law
Under PIPEDA (federal) and BC PIPA (provincial), you also have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent for ongoing communications at any time
- File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the BC Information and Privacy Commissioner
7. Contact
For data deletion requests or any questions about how we handle your information:
Email: privacy@krogelindustries.com
Subject line: “Data deletion request” or “Privacy inquiry”
See also our Privacy Policy for the full description of how we collect, use, and protect personal information.
Real estate professionals who want to disconnect an agency’s social account from the platform can do so from the integrations dashboard inside the app, which immediately revokes our OAuth tokens. This page exists for end-users (leads, past clients, anyone whose data we may hold) who don’t have an account on the platform itself.
